A few people have asked about the name of my practice. I must admit it was hard to decide, but I am very happy with it.
There are a couple reasons why I chose Hazel Tree. My last name Haslam, like many surnames has a meaning. Haslam means ‘the people who lived among the Hazels’.
The other reason I chose the name Hazel Tree Therapy is that Hazel Trees are very symbolic and represent wisdom, enlightenment, creativity, inspiration and healing. They have a long a history going back to the druids, who yes, really did exist a very long time ago. Hazel Trees are also linked to the symbol of marriage and family happiness. The more I read, the more I realised how much I wanted the Hazel Tree to represent my practice. In trees I see strength, but they all started from a little seed that had to survive the elements, a bit like life’s journey.
Hope you liked the story.
